Raccoon Events is a dynamic, high growth events business operating B2B and B2C events for the running market.
We created the business because we wanted to facilitate meaningful face-to-face engagements in underserved markets that we understand and that we love.
We believe that great events are about Community, Fun, Innovation and Excitement and we apply that ethos to everything that we do.
Our plans for the future are measured but ambitious as we look to launch into new markets both domestically and abroad.
I have 15 years’ experience organising exhibitions and conferences both domestically and overseas. During that time I managed event portfolios for some of the biggest organisers in the world across a range of sectors. My vision for Raccoon Events is to create live experiences that are community-led, cutting edge, cool and most importantly fun to attend!
I’m Darren, one of the Directors of Raccoon Events, and responsible for the digital presence, data handling, and marketing for our group of events. I’ve been building websites and applications for over 13 years, and champion the use of data in an honest, open, and privacy-respecting way.
I’m Rebecca, knows as Becs to most people. Fellow Director of Raccoon Events and founder of Breathe Unity. I have been in the Sports Industry for over 27 years and spend a lot of my time talking, formulating strategies and creating exciting, long-lasting partnerships in our industry sector.
I’m Maddy wife/partner in crime to Mike the MD of Raccoon Events. When I’m not looking after our two crazy kids I’m busy working as a professional photographer and helping out on The National Running Show. You’ll often find me cheering on and crewing Mike on one of his many running adventures.
Social Media Manager
I’m Verity the Social Media Manager for Raccoon Events. I have been working in the world of PR, client and social media management for several years. When I’m not working I’m mum to 2 little ones who keep me very busy!
Business Development Manager
I’m Addie, Business Development Manager for Raccoon Events. I spent 7 years working for The NEC and so it’s been an exciting challenge to now work as an organiser on new exhibitions! It’s been great shaping The National Running Show with new exhibitors and sponsors from the running community. At home I’m kept on my toes by my two girls, both under the age of 3!
