BEWARE OF SCAMMERS

We have been made aware of companies and individuals contacting exhibitors, partners and sponsors and pretending to represent our organisation in terms of publishing our event guides, be official hotel agents for us or have our data. They may try to use event branding and may appear genuine.

Organisations such as Event Fair, FairGuide.com/Construct Data Verlag, Expo Guide (Mexico) and International Fairs Directory (Portugal) are targeting exhibitors with their misleading directory services. Unsuspecting exhibitors who sign and return the form are then contracted into a three-year, non-retractable agreement, which could cost the exhibitor a significant amount of money.

There are also numerous individuals who will claim to have access to our data. Please be assured that this is not the case, we would never sell our data or give direct access to a third party.

We would encourage you to be vigilant, read the small print, inform your teams about the risk of scams and check with us if you receive anything they are not expecting or are unsure of.

The ICO are aware of these companies and we have made numerous complaints, however, there seems to be little that they can do to stop them as they are usually based overseas and are using fake names, redirected phone numbers and untraceable email addresses.

For more information and advice please see visit – https://www.aeo.org.uk/expoguide

Please do not fall victim to these scams, if you have any concerns then please always speak to the Raccoon Events team directly.
